I took this idea from my Third Sonata and have developed its material further. It’s a little over 2 minutes long (5 pages) and requires an intermediate level of technique to play (7/4 meter, 6-against-4 rhythm, three-voice and four-voice counterpoint, great exercise for the left hand). This is a great piece for pianists who love to get "down and dirty!"
